Important dates in the history of Treca de Paris:

1922
René Moritz and Julien Wurth found 'la Société Trefilerie et Cablerie' in Reichshoffen (Alsace, France). A company for the manufacture (and the drawing of) steel wire with a high resistance. Out of 'Trefilerie' and 'Cablerie' the name 'Treca' evolves.

1935
Victor Moritz, René's son, in Reichshoffen founds the first mattress factory under the auspices of Treca.

1939
Treca opens its second bedfactory in Beaugency, France.

1947
The introduction of the 'Pullman'- and 'Imperial'-mattresses creates a revolution in the traditional world of beds.

1955
Treca launches the 'Decoration & Design' department.

1957
The third bedfactory is opened in Bourg de Thizy, France.

1960
Treca starts an export department, and introduces the 'Treca de Paris' program to Germany, Sweden, Belgium and Holland. Large-scale export swiftly gets into stride.

1964
Launch and premiere of the first series of electric CAD-beds. Couché-Assis-Détender: In bed - Sitting - Relax. Treca, as a pioneer, concentrates on developing adjustable beds.

1989
The Moritz family transfers command of Treca to the Sumitomo group.

1990
Treca opens two new subsidiaries, in Italy and Spain. Simultaneously, the brand conquers new markets in Southeast Asia and the Persian Gulf.

1996
The 'Cousu main' concept (stitched by hand) firmly brings forward Treca's positioning.

2000
Treca, as pertaining to turnover, is the second largest manufacturer of beds worldwide, and market leader in the adjustable beds segment.

Treca is representative of the comfort and quality of French beds.

The Treca de Paris export program, abroad, symbolizes the art of manufacture, combined with French luxury.
